I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy. I have worked in various clinical settings like outpatient clinics, Acute care, Long term care and home care settings over the past few years. Rakesh continued to expand his knowledge and clinical skills by taking several postgraduate courses, such as Kinesio Taping and Functional Dry Needling and Lower limb assessment.
Rakesh is passionate about his work and continually challenges himself to offer effective solutions and work collaboratively with his patients to help them reach their maximum potential. He applies evidence-based practice in all areas of patient care. He emphasizes on improving their quality of life.
Rakesh believes in an exercise-based approach which includes the patient’s active involvement. He also utilizes patient education and manual therapy as part of his treatment approach. It gives him great satisfaction to see his patient recover from their injuries and achieve optimal functioning.
Rakesh is also fluent in Gujarati, Hindi and can understand Punjabi, to better serve patients requiring a Physical therapist who speak these languages.
In his free time, Rakesh enjoys activities like yoga, playing tennis, hiking, listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.

Kim Umphrey has been an RMT since 2009. She focuses on many areas of pain relief, ranging from every day aches and pains to pregnancy related issues, accidents, and injuries.
Myo-fascial techniques, sports massage, kinesio-taping and dynamic cupping are all areas that she has studied, along with high level training in prenatal massage, including massage for higher-risk pregnancies, infant massage, and training as a labour support provider (doula).
Kim is also a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant Professional and Wellness Coach, as well. She is currently offering nutrition assessments, as well as wellness coaching and educational workshops.
